Youth Talk is a community organisation for our St Albans and district community and driven by the community in which we work and we think it is important that you know how your money helps.
We rely on our community
We’d like to say a great big thank you to everyone who has supported Youth Talk over the last year and beyond – we simply can’t do what we do without you! Thanks to our supporters and our funders we managed to nearly 4000 counselling sessions last year.
How we raise the money
In 2023-24 we raised £470,845 to provide the best possible mental health support to local young people.
That’s a slight decrease on the previous year.
How we spend the money and how your money helps
In 2023-24 we spent £569,202 supporting local young people. The breakdown of our spend as follows:
• Charitable activities – £431,753
• Direct costs of fundraising – £137,449

Youth Talk saved me from going down a dark hole in the place I was in at the time. My counsellor helped me get through so much. I still can’t believe she stayed and listened to me about the same things session after session. If it wasn’t for her I don’t think I’d be living as optimistically as I am now.
