If you need emergency help.

Youth Talk is not a Crisis Service but if you, a friend or a family member are experiencing a mental health crisis, call the local Mental Health Helpline team on 0800 6444 101 in the first instance. They can help you at any hour of the day or night, 365 days a year.

If you need emergency help now.

Other services that might be useful in an emergency are:

  • Samaritans, Call 116 123 to talk to  email: jo@samaritans.org for a reply within 24 hours
  • Shout Crisis Text Line “SHOUT” to 85258 to contact the , or text “YM” if you’re under 19
  • Childline – if you’re under 19, you can call 0800 1111 to talk to the helpline. The number will not appear on your phone bill.
