New Year, New Home, New Hope

Moving into a much larger premises at 64 London Road is a vital first step in our new five-year ‘Strategy for Growth’. The crisis in young people’s mental health is well publicised and the services of Youth Talk have never been needed more by our local young people – we must ensure we are there for them. But we can’t do it alone and we are now reaching out to our local community to help us ensure we meet the significant challenges that are ahead of us.

Our move is the first essential part of our five year strategy for growth and will give us the space we need to begin to increase the number of young people we can support over the coming years.

In 2022, we are proud to say that we were able to offer over 4,000 counselling sessions to local young people in need of help – but we need to do more.

The move to 64 London Road means that Youth Talk will see an increase from four to eight individual therapy rooms as well as giving us the space to offer group counselling sessions in the future. In just a few months, we’ll be in a better position to begin to support even more vulnerable young people in our community during their time of need.

The most important priority we now have is to raise the money needed to fit out each counselling room. We need them to be ready as safe, comfortable spaces for our young people – so that they can look to the future with hope. We can’t do it alone, we need our community’s help.

Could you help equip a room to change the lives of local young people?

Do you want to have a first-hand impact on the lives of the young people we support? We have a time-limited opportunity for you.

We need just eight donors (companies or individuals) to support us in creating a open and welcoming counselling space.

Transform a room by donating £2,000 and you’ll get your name on our ‘Wall of Fame’.

We’re moving!

Thank You

We’d like to say thank you to all those who’ve supported Youth Talk this past year. Your support means that we are able to continue providing free, confidential one to one counselling sessions for vulnerable young people in our local community.

A new year for many young people brings with it new challenges, struggles, worries and anxious feelings about the uncertainty of the year ahead. It’s time for us to look forward and ensure that we can support even more young people in years to come.
