Debenhams Ottaway have fully embraced this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week.
The staff organised a #ConnectWithNature photo competition in aid of Youth Talk. Debenhams Ottaway encouraged staff to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors.
David Barker, Chief Executive of Youth Talk shared, “Huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the Debenhams Ottaway #ConnectWithNature photo competition. We were delighted to receive a stunning array of pictures that you have captured from your walks and time in the great outdoors.”
Well done and thank you to Lesley Berry for this powerful photo.
“The winning photo had to be the tree amidst the fog and mist – it reflects the sense of how young people can struggle with their mental health – but at the same time brings a real sense of hope with the sunshine starting to break through.”
We also asked Alex from Debenhams Ottaway what it means to her to donate in support of Youth Talk.
Alex told us “it is great to know that my donation is going to a worthwhile cause. This pandemic has impacted on everyone from all walks of life and knowing that the future generations are being supported and listened to is very important to me.
Mental Health Awareness Week is important as we all need to appreciate how valuable our mental wellbeing is to our everyday life.”
Nature has bought many of us solace throughout the pandemic. We hope you too can make time to enjoy our beautiful countryside to help manage your emotional wellbeing.
Debenham Ottaway’s continued support when times are tough means so much to us.
