If you need urgent help

Call the local Mental Health Helpline team on 0800 6444 101 in the first instance. They can help you at any hour of the day or night, 365 days a year.

We all experience things in different ways. Whatever it is that you want to talk about, we won’t judge you – we’re here to listen, respond and support you. All in complete confidence.

Everyone feels sad, angry, frustrated and scared sometimes. But when these feelings are overwhelming or happening all the time, it’s OK to talk about them

Counselling is a way of talking and listening that helps you make sense and deal with your thoughts and feelings. The people you talk to are trained to help you, and they’ll never tell you you’re wrong or what to do.

Everyone is different.

You might need support with something like:

Dealing with anxiety

‘Anxiety’ can cover many things and affects young people in different ways.

Health

Perhaps you’re concerned about your health or the health of someone else

Home life

We provide a safe and confidential space to talk about life at home.

Harmful thoughts and actions

Whatever you’re thinking, we are here to support you

Love and relationships

We are a completely inclusive and non-judgemental service.

Money

Money can cause huge amounts of anxiety. We might help you understand it and your feelings around it.

Education or work

What now or where next? External pressures, exam stress or professional challenges – we’re listening.

Something else

We know that young people need support with a huge variety of things – we don’t have a set list of issues that we support. We support you.

When you need help, you can contact Youth Talk directly for free, confidential support. Our expert team has the time and space for you to talk in private about whatever’s happening. If you want to talk in private and for free – but don’t know where to start – just get in touch.
