We’re now in our bigger, better home on 64 London Road.
Thank You
We’d like to say thank you to all those who’ve supported Youth Talk through our ‘New Home New Home’ community appeal this year. Your support means that even more of our local young people can have a confidential, comfortable safe space to talk about whatever’s on their mind.
Young people face a variety of challenges, struggles and anxieties. Since our charity exists to support them, it wouldn’t be right if it weren’t informed by them. So we asked Youth Talk’s Youth Panel to get involved with the design and development of our new home – the results are truly amazing!

Say hello to 64 London Road:

Our move was the first essential part of our five year strategy for growth and will give us the space we need to begin to increase the number of young people we can support over the coming years.
We’re proud to say that in 2022 Youth Talk were able to offer over 4,000 counselling sessions to local young people in need of help – but we need to do more.
This move to 64 London Road means that Youth Talk has seen an increase from four to eight individual therapy rooms as well as giving us the space to offer group counselling sessions in the future. In just a few more months, we’ll be in a better position to begin supporting even more local young people in our community during their time of need.
How will this impact the lives of the young people we support?
Our Youth Panel love to offer advice and insight into Youth Talk’s projects. See what they thought about our move to a bigger and better home on 64 London Road:
“The best thing about our new home I think probably is the location. It’s in central St Albans, right in the city centre – which makes it really accessible for people who don’t drive. It’s really close to any public transport routes and you can walk there from any locations in
St Albans too which I think is really important!”

Our new home has been designed with comfort, accessibility and confidentiality in mind – it’s clear that it’s a hit with our local young people.
A word from our Chief Executive, David Barker:
“Moving into a much larger premises at 64 London Road is a vital first step in our new five-year ‘Strategy for Growth’. The crisis in young people’s mental health is well publicised and the services of Youth Talk have never been needed more by our local young people – we must ensure we are there for them.“
Our move to a new home provides us with the space to support even more young people, many of whom are struggling with their mental health in silence.
Thank you for helping us get one step closer to achieving our vision – that every local young people can have someone to talk to about whatever’s on there mind.
