Together, we can change young lives
Help us be what they need when it matters most. Make a difference.
Young people need us more than ever. Your support ensures we can continue providing free, confidential counselling to the growing number of 13–25-year-olds in and around St Albans who are struggling and need a safe space to talk.
We are currently delivering over 120 one to one counselling sessions a week, as well as offering Art and Talk therapy groups, but demand is rising fast, and the number of young people waiting for help is now at its highest level yet. With your help, we can reach them sooner.
So, how can you get involved?

Other ways to give
could help fund our school contact leaflets, giving young people a vital prompt to help them get in touch
could ensure there’s someone at the end of the phone, when a young person is brave enough to take that first step towards getting help
could help pay for a counsellor to have their supervision with our clinical supervisor, a valuable opportunity for a counsellor to share any concerns they have about a young person.
could pay for a young person to have a 50 minute one to one counselling session

Our supporters
Our Schools Ambassador
“When I left teaching, I found myself with some spare time and was very keen to find an opportunity to give something back to help young people in the local community. Working in secondary schools, I was aware of the challenges that our young people face and have always been passionate about supporting them as they navigate life.“
Our Youth Panel
“I wanted to be a part of the growth of a community that cares for people like me and many others. I felt like I would be able to contribute the ideas of my peers or people going through similar things to me, so that they can get the help they need.”
Our trustees
“I was particularly keen to join Youth Talk because it provides a vital and unique specialist service for young people. Being able to give something back after being involved with young people throughout my career is very satisfying to me. I feel part of a caring community that all want to do their bit to help.”
Our events volunteers
“Volunteering for charities like Youth Talk is so important in helping those that need guidance in navigating life in the 21st century. As Youth Talk is a local charity you feel as a volunteer you are making a real difference in helping people in the area you live in.”
