Excitement is building for the Great St Albans Challenge!
Plans for this year’s Great St Albans Challenge are really starting to come together – and we couldn’t be more excited!
We’re absolutely delighted to announce that Phoenix Construction have joined us as our Headline Sponsor. Their generous support will help us make the Challenge bigger, bolder and better than ever before. Most importantly, it means we’ll be able to raise even more vital funds so that Youth Talk can support local young people struggling with their mental health.
With teams, schools, businesses and families already signing up, the countdown is well and truly on. Expect fun, adventure and plenty of superhero spirit as we take over the city on Sunday 12th October for an afternoon like no other.
From hidden clues and quirky challenges to superhero-inspired fun, the event promises something for everyone. The challenge kicks off at St Albans Cathedral and is rounded off with a lively grand finale at the Alban Arena, where we’ll celebrate the day’s heroes, announce winners, and have some surprise guests! Kate Barton, General Manager at the Arena, said: “We are very excited to be involved with this grand event and support Youth Talk in their very worthy cause.”

CEO of Phoenix Construction Terry Scotchett said: ‘We believe mental well-being for staff and youngsters is key. When I was younger, there was a mentality of just getting on with it regardless of what was going on in your life. There was no time or space to work through feelings or emotions. I don’t want that to be the case for young people today which is why I am so keen to support this fundraiser.”
