Your donation will be used to help provide counselling for young people who desperately need it. The reasons they come to Youth Talk are many and varied – for some it will be issues at home, others might have high levels of anxiety, are self harming or struggling to deal with the impact of the pandemic. Every young person is different and they all need our help.
Youth Talk is a community organisation for our St Albans and district community and driven by the community in which we work and we think it is important that you know how your money helps.
We rely on our community
We simply can’t do what we do without your support. It is that simple. Thanks to our supporters and our funders we managed to deliver 2666 counselling sessions last year helping to support over 243 young people in need.
The number of young people in need continues to rise and your donation will help support them through whatever they are experiencing.
How we spend the money and how your money helps
In 2019/2020 we spent £223,040 supporting local young people. The breakdown of our spend as follows:
• Counselling & staff -£171,863
• Property costs – £18,935
• Office Costs – £30,802
• Governance costs – £1,440
