In our December newsletter we shared the exciting news that Youth Talk is now one of the 12 partner charities working with Helping Herts.
Helping Herts supports local charities across Hertfordshire by bringing people together to give, fundraise and create positive change. As a partner charity, Youth Talk will benefit from their incredible network, fundraising opportunities and collaborative campaigns – all designed to help charities like ours reach more people and make an even greater impact.
This partnership strengthens our ability to support young people across Hertfordshire and gives us the chance to work alongside 11 other brilliant charities, learning from one another and championing the power of community. We are truly excited about what the future holds and are looking forward to working closely with Helping Herts.
And what better way to kick off this new partnership than with a brand-new challenge?
Launching Our New Year, New Challenge:
Twelve Days of Fitness for Youth Talk!
To celebrate our partnership with Helping Herts, we are launching 12 Days of Fitness for Youth Talk – a fun, inclusive fundraising challenge that gets us moving together for an amazing cause.

When: 9th – 20th February
Our goal is an ambitious one: to collectively cover 4,383 miles – the distance from St Albans to Mount Kilimanjaro!
Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just enjoy getting outside for a walk, everyone can take part. You can log walking, running, jogging, cycling and even skiing if you like! Every mile counts, and it’s all about doing what feels right for you.
How to Take Part
Getting involved is easy:
- Join the Youth Talk group on Strava and join our 12 Days of Fitness Event
Record your activities as usual and add them to our Event so your miles count towards our collective total.
- Move, track, and share!
Encourage friends, family and colleagues to support you, and help us spread the word by sharing your progress on social media.
This challenge is about more than fitness.
It’s about community, connection and coming together to support young people’s mental health – while celebrating our partnership with Helping Herts.
We can’t wait to see how far we can go together.
