I’m Rosie, Youth Talk’s Fundraising and Communications Assistant who is really enjoying working at this amazing charity on the Government Kickstart Scheme.

This week is important for not only for spreading awareness, but it also allows people, of all ages, who struggle with mental health issues to either come forward and ask for help or just feel a little less alone.

My name is Catherine and I joined Youth Talk in December. Mental health has always been a huge thing to me as a young person myself. Based on that, I knew Youth Talk would be a great place for me to work, as it represented something which I so passionately believe in and want to help.

The Sheriff’s Awards this year were awarding a fantastic £1,200 grant to charities that support young people and the unique outlook they have and contribute to the community. We want to personally thank Lionel and everyone on the panel, as winning this award means raising more awareness for Youth Talk and taking the next step towards growth within our charity. This grant specifically supports our local counselling service.
